Get rid of Matt this week, let Brendon win HOH, he puts up Britney and Ragan, get rid of Ragan (or Britney if he wins veto), and then get him out and then they’re in the final five, and Brendon can’t play in HOH.

Jodda, I’m curious why you don’t like Enzo anymore. Since I don’t have the feeds, I’m wondering if there’s something I’ve missed. Also curious why you want Brendan in the final 4 if you don’t like him? Sorry, I always feel the need to know everything. My daughter will be leaving for school about 7am again this year.
Tina, I think Hayden felt safe enough to take the prizes. I usually say “my teenage daughter” so that’s probably why you thought she was already in high school. How do you live on so little sleep??? I think I went to bed at 1am and slept right through my alarm at 6am.
The sunburn is definitely better, and it’s mostly on her thighs. She shouldn’t be in much pain tomorrow. We’ve been religiously applying aloe vera. It works miracles.
Jodda, I don’t think they penalize Enzo for anything. He did sneak food out of the fridge when he was a have not and nothing was said. He even said last night, he put his butt up against the shower curtain so he could feel the hot water from the other shower. He’s a sneaky dude too, but I still like him.
Sasssy, I guess it’s my age. I can’t sleep much anymore. I do take a nap most afternoons. I always say to myself you need to start going to bed earlier, but for some reason around 9pm I just become wide awake and stay up late.
OK! That’s why I thougt she was older.

Enzo acts scummy in my opinion. He may be playing the game, but he is spreading stuff about Matt, who has been nothing but loyal. He is creepy to me. He talks really badly about women. (yes, I know others may too..)
I know no body agrees with me about any of the players, but that’s ok.
Brenden, he bothers me for many reasons, but I can’t deny that since Rachel has gone he is actually playing the game. Possibly for himself rather than Rachel.

lol. The multiple posts in a row made me laugh. That’s how my brain works. Luckily for me my daughter will be walking herself to school this year. Except for the first day. They won’t give them their schedule until the first day, and I need to know where her next to last class is in order to figure out where to meet her. Did I tell you guys I have to pick her up and take her to the other high school for the final period of the day? Stupid people who decide which classes are when went and made the only period of band and the only period of Honors English both 1st period. Plus they’re doing this really weird schedule this year, so Monday and Wednesday I pick her up at 1pm, and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday I pick her up at 2pm. No, that’s not confusing at all! So Monday and Wednesday she’s out of school at 2pm, and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday she’s out at 3pm. But Monday and Thursday she’s got marching band after school until 5pm. OMG, I’m gonna have to have notes as to when to pick her up where. I’m gonna be so lost.

We had a record high today. It was 111 degrees in our town, felt like 114 degrees.
This is just not right. I’m packing my bags for the north. It almost hurts to be outside.
Oh, and what a day the HG’s have had.
I’ve been forcing myself to not watch all day.
Jodda girl, you got that right; it ain’t right. We have not had a day below 90 in over 40 days. It got to 94.7 on my front porch. The weather channel shows cooler temps for here later in the week. At least it has not been in the 100′s in the last week here. I thought I would never say it, but it does make a difference to be in the 90′s instead of 100′s.
I understand there was a confrontation between Matt and Ragan. I want to go back and see that. Ragan knows how to do that quite well.

Well, I wish I would’ve been here, but I was catching up on what’s happening in the BB house. Mini Sasssy is enjoying high school, but not liking the part about going over to the other high school for band. She’s considering dropping Honors English so she can have band at her high school during that period. That makes me sad. I’ve expressed all of my thoughts and feelings to her but have left it up to her.

Hey Happy, new bride-to-be. Been workin? today
It was 70.2 this morning and was able to turn ac off until around 1pm when I got back from running chores. By mid afternoon it was back up to 90.2 on the porch. It keeps inching down everyday. We were able to walk 5 miles today
Gonna go make Frozen Hot Chocolate to go with our bean dip and Guiltless Gourmets for our snack with BB in a few minutes.

lol. Jodda, that’s hilarious about the bubbles. Totally something I’d do. We live in a small town with 2 high schools and 1 combined band. So the director has 1 band class at each high school, then they practice together after school 2 days a week. At my daughter’s hs, band is 1st period. At the other hs, it’s last period. Our hs was planning to have 2 periods of 9th grade Honors English, but the teacher said no at some point this summer. So instead of dropping 1st period Honors English, they dropped the other period of it. So the counselors had to call at least 5 people that I know of and say we have to choose if our kid is gonna drop Honors English, or drop band, or keep both but have parent transport them to other hs for band over there (so it isn’t at same time as Honors English.) We chose to transport her to other school, but 2 days in she was miserable about it and wanting to stay at her school all day. I tried my best to talk her into toughing it out. Her counselor and my son in college both told her they’d drop Honors English. Thanks for backing me up, guys. To top it off, she ran into her English teacher after school and told her that she’s switched classes effective tomorrow (same teacher, different periods and different levels of English class), and the teacher told her the class she’s going into is so bad she had to call 7 parents on the 2nd day of school. Great!

Mini Sasssy may change her mind if she sees trouble ahead. Too bad teachers have to spend teaching time discipling students. Don’t think I would make a good teacher; could not take that
This summer has been exceptionally mild for us. Not many triple digit days. I (and my lack of a/c) have been loving it. Yesterday and today, however, have been record breaking heat. Looking forward to getting back into the 90s tomorrow. Yes, Tina, huge difference between 90s and 100s. Friday and the weekend are supposed to be even cooler. YAY!
I couldn’t take it either, Tina. I can’t even handle misbehaving children and bad parenting when I’m out and about.

I know, I was just really looking forward to it :o( Sasssy, how is your daughter doing in school? Is she used to waking up early again? that was always the hardest part for me!
She had a ton of stuff going on this summer and had to wake up early most of the summer, so that part isn’t much different. She’s acting pretty depressed, so I’m a little worried right now. I thought maybe it was the whole wanting to switch classes thing, but she did that today and is still down. The only thing she’s told me is that socially this year is very different than last year.
Billy, you have a big load this semester. Lots of studying for you my friend, but feel confident you will suceed. I just know you will.
Happy, Brendon is off the block and Britney put up Matt as a replacement nom.
Sasssy, don’t get me started. With the tomatoes you can do lots of things; Make bacon, lettuce, tomatoe sandwiches, cut them up in garden salad or in coleslaw. Chop for fritattas or omelets. Slice them on your plate with a dollop of mayo. Roast them with other veggies. Make a marinara sauce for pasta. Stuff with tuna or chicken salad. Tomatoes are my favorite veggie. As a southerner I make stewed tomatoes to go on top of cornbread with a layer of blackeyed peas. My fav since a child. Oh! the memories of sitting around the table as a small child eating this concoction. If you were close by I could give you some of mine fresh off the vine
Sasssy, I feel sorry for Enzo, having to walk around in that Penguin suit all week. He did try very hard to win POV. I don’t think he needs the money , living in a 3 story new home, but on the other hand, he might need it to keep up the monstrosity of that kind of house. I think he does luv his wife and newborn though. Who knows why he wanted to be on the show.

And tomatoes are one of my very favorite foods.
If they are good tomatoes, slice, sprinkle with a little salt and pepper.. yum.
or cut up, with some cukes and red tomatoes and sprinkle with a bit of balsamic vinegar and olive oil. You can sprinkle some oregeno and add some feta too for a bit of a Middle east salad taste.
I love to cook tomatoes with chopped zucchini.
Grilled ham and tomato and cheese.
Saute some onion and garlic, add chopped tomato, chopped eggplant, chopped zucchini and/or yellow squash makes a simple ratatouille.
Oh,, and this is really good with some good tomatoes:
)
Bruscetta (the way I like it, nice and zingy)
Chop about 6 tomatoes, about a half red onion (or whatever color), about 2 or 3 minced garlic cloves and a bunch of fresh basil (about a whole box, or less).
Mix a 2 to 1 ratio of balsamic vinegar to olive oil, a bit of salt and pepper. Mix all that. Let sit for couple of hours, or not, if you don’t have couple hours.

Like Jodda, I have not been on computer today for a good reason. I have not been here. Just got a little while ago. It’s hot again today. 101 degrees on Thornton Ave in town.
Hubby’s been home and we have been taking care of a lot of business and I had to go shopping for something to wear to a Memorial service at the local college tomorrow. A friend died in June of embulisoms(spelling?) in the lungs. She was assistant dean at the college and only 52 years. Moral of the story: watch your weight and don’t be sedentary.

After reading Jodda’s recipes for tomatoes, I’m hungary. Think I’ll go make a snack for me and Noel for the show tonight. He’s as excited to see what happens as I am.

OMG, It was only 71 degrees here today! And overcast! And we even had a chance of rain! That NEVER happens here in the summertime. I mean NEVER EVER. It rains October-May (very little in October and May). Summer is always bright and sunny and either 90s or 100s. Not a lot for a weather man to do here in summertime. So I took advantage of the weather today and cooked everything I could find in the house. lol. I’ll freeze most of it and just have to warm it up later. You know I can’t cook when it’s hot due to no a/c. I mean when it’s already over 90 degrees in the house, there’s just no way I’d warm up my house more by cooking. Anyway, the weather today made me very happy. Now Happy is happy and Sasssy is Happy!:mrgreen:

Sasssy, I luv to hear about your good weather. It sounds like “fall is right around the corner” kind of weather. We had our 47th consecutive day of 90 +. My front porch reached 90.1 degrees by mid afternoon Clouds moved in and knocked it back down in the upper 80′s
I know you had a good time getting in the kitchen and creating dishes to freeze. That’s the kind of cooking I like to do. I make batches of biscuits, muffins, banana oatmeal bread, cornbread, bean dip and baked beans and keep in the freezer to pull out and use for meals and snacks. With just me and Noel, a pan of cornbread, or biscuits is to much for us at 1 meal so the rest goes in ziploc bags for later use. The bean dip we have on nights I don’t cook if we have been out for lunch, and the baked beans I keep on hand to go with burgers, and barbecue. The muffins and banana oatmeal bread we have for breakfast with our fruit and yogurt.
Billy, I’m just so glad to know Ragan is out the door. I don’t have a favorite final 3. Britney is growing on me. I think it’s that underdog mentality I have. It’s her against the 3 boys. It’s an uphill climb for her

Hey Lessa, Walmart is the only place I can find sugar free chocolate syrup to make my figure friendly Frozen Hot chocolate and it is really good. It’s made with chocolate syrup, fat free evaporated milk, ice and vanilla extract; I can’t go in that store anymore without thinking of you.
Yeah, I seriously doubt if fall is right around the corner, but it’s definitely feeling like it right now. It’s usually hot through the end of October here. There have been Thanksgivings where I’ve worn shorts. But I saw the strangest thing today that made me do a double take and wonder, “It IS August, right???” Someone down the street has a nice big pumpkin by their front door.

Sasssy, When I was walking thru my neighborhood, I noticed a house decorated with artificial fall leaves all over their glass front door. Wait a minute; we use to think people decorated too early for Christmas; Now we are seeing fall decorations already and August is not over with yet. September can be one of our hottest months in Ga, and it’s way too early to think of fall yet. Even the fall leaves in North Georgia don’t reach their peak color until the 1st of Nov.
I think Hayden and Britney are my two favorite, Tina.

Hey Jodda, thank you for the donut story. That must be where CArolyn gets that phrase from. I really had not noticed she said that until yesterday and then I saw it again this morning in her overnight report.
Sasssy, yes I have used applesauce instead of oil before. I have not done that in awhile though. I use canola and olive in baking and cooking since they are the lowest in saturated fat. I read an article stating a little fat was healthy and so I started incorporating it back into my baking for us. If I bake something for others I always use butter or oil so the taste want be compromised.

BTW Sasssy, you can leave the oil out of that bread recipe since bananas have the same affect as the applesauce would have. I tried it the first time I made it without the oil, but thought the taste was a little dry and then I added the oil back in. I did not think about applesauce and banana both, but that might work.

Pulled out a bunch of good recipes I have if anyone is interested: Apple Nut Cake, Zucchini Bread, Chicken Tarragon, Pepper Steak, Chicken ‘n’ Broccoli Pie, and Japanese Cabbage Salad.
Just got a call from my favorite director down at our community theatre, and he wants me to do tech (lighting and sound) for him on his play in October and November. He wanted Mini Sasssy to be his stage manager, but with all the band stuff she’s got going I’m not sure it’ll work out. She’ll definitely help out on the days she can though. He’s so sweet and fun and funny. I can’t wait!

I HATE it when that happens! The play is The Sunshine Boys. The director is only 23, and we’ve known him since he was in high school. He was Mini Sasssy’s director when she did the children’s summer theatre program. At our community theatre EVERYONE gets in free on dress rehearsal night. I LOVE the arts.

Hi everyone! OMG, turkey dinner is my favorite meal ever! Okay, I promise I will send the recipes in the next couple of days. I cooked more today, since it was only 85 today. My refrigerator and freezer are full! Today was yard waste pick up day, so I spent the morning outside trimming the trees and bushes and pulling weeds. All of this work I’ve been doing has me totally, completely, and ridiculously exhausted. I can’t even think anymore. UGH! I’ve got to go catch up at BBDish again. I can’t ever seem to stay on top of it…
I really am too tired to think. I meant it was 80 today and supposed to be 85 tomorrow. I’m lovin’ this cooler weather.
